  • What is Women’s Empowerment Coaching?
It’s a term I use to describe the process (and ideally the end result) of the coaching. My goal as a coach is to help women find their voices, their agency, and their confidence to live their most authentic and vibrant lives. That isn’t always easy to do on your own. That’s where I come in...to help support the strength that is within you already.
  • What's the difference between coaching and therapy?
Often coaching is described as being “future focused” and therapy is “past focused.” To a certain degree, that’s true. Coaching tends to be more goal and desire oriented than therapy. My coaching clients leave every session with a specific focus, action steps, and body centered practices to help them create desired changes. Yet there is certainly overlap when it comes to understanding emotional and cognitive obstacles, which often come from situations and relationships from our past. Family dynamics, early imprinting, and societal norms all influence how we feel about ourselves and others. So we certainly need to have an understanding of how our history has shaped us, but we don’t stay there as long as you might in therapy. In coaching, we use that information to figure out how to move forward with intention. When clients aren’t motivated to do the action steps or practices that they’ve identified and committed to, I often suggest that they seek therapy. It can be very helpful to do both therapy and coaching simultaneously–especially if there has been significant trauma in one’s life.
  • Is it worth the investment in my time and money?
Making a significant personal investment in your health and well-being, your career, or your relationships takes a high level of commitment. Only you can determine if it’s worth your resources. I’m happy to provide references who can share their thoughts on the "return on investment" or benefits in working with me.
  • What is Sex, Love & Relationship Coaching?
This practice area focuses on the more intimate parts of your life and helps you determine your deepest desires in this realm. You do not need to be in a relationship currently in order to do this coaching work. Like the other practice areas I offer, SLR Coaching is talk-based. There is no nudity or physical contact.
  • How will I know if I’m making progress?
You and I will work together in your first session to clearly identify your most important goals and milestones–as well as your deepest desires. You will be able to measure your progress based on those milestones. Our open communication will help you reevaluate your goals along the way and make adjustments as needed.
  • Can I create the changes I want in just a few sessions?
After 20 years of coaching, I have found that it takes a minimum of a few months to have truly transformational change take hold. My goal is to empower women to create radically radiant lives. That isn’t a quick fix.
  • What’s the process?
We start with an initial 20 minute consult. Then if we both think you might be a good candidate for my coaching, I would offer a full 75 minute Clarity Session to identify your goals and desires and the obstacles that you currently face. You would fill out an Intake Form prior to that session. From there, we both need to agree that we’re in alignment to work together. If it’s a YES!, we each sign a Coaching Agreement and begin the official coaching work together (which includes a 50% payment. The other 50% is due at the ½ way point.) In Session #1 we would clarify and confirm your desires, goals and milestones and dive right in! After each session, you receive detailed coaching notes with clear homework and resources, recordings of our sessions if you desire, and an interim check-in by email. You can email me 24/7 and I will respond within 24 hours. I’m here to support you fully. We meet every other week for 75 minute sessions. All sessions are on Zoom.
  • Can we keep working together after the initial package has finished?
Of course! I’m here to support you for the long haul. Often, clients will sign on for another coaching package if they want to continue our work together, but I also offer individual coaching sessions to past clients who need intermittent support.
  • Do you take insurance?
No. This is a self-care investment that is not covered by insurance.
